Blessed by a favourable climate all year around, surrounded by the warm waters of Caribbean Sea, San Andres and Providencia is the perfect holiday destination whatever the time of year it is. The Archipelago is located in the Tropics with climate typical to Caribbean islands. The average San Andres temperature is pleasant 27.4°C (81.3°F), with a minimum of 17°C (62.6°F) and a maximum of 33°C (91.4°C).
San Andres and Providencia have two seasons, wet and dry. The dry seasons go from February to April and from July to September when the commencement of the Caribbean hurricane season spans from late September through to the beginning of December. In this period it is likely to rain more, although light tropical showers aren’t uncommon year-round. Rain usually last anywhere between 10 and 20 minutes and then the sun shows itself once more. May to June are the driest months with rains heaviest September to December. Tourist season peaks are from late December to late January, during Easter week and from mid-June to mid-July.
